Cultural Walks
Dionysiou Areopagitou Street
Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, a leafy pedestrianized street, steeped in discreet luxury, which takes you from the Theatre of Dionysus, to the Acropolis museum and magnificent site, to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. This is a promenade to last for a life time.
Monastiraki
Monastiraki is more than a flea market, it is as an amalgam of folklore, history, and Greek and Roman treasures. Visit the ancient agora of Athens, the centre of the city’s public life, and you will be spoiled for choice. Scattered around this magnificent location is the Temple of Hephaestus and the Stoa of Attalos. Walk to the Roman Forum of Athens and see the Library that Roman Emperor Andrianos built for the city.
Plaka
Plaka is a world unto its own. Greek taverns and cafes alternative with Byzantine churches and smaller museums, while tourists and Athenians alike breathe in its incredible energy.
